Helping people create positive change has become my passion
Hello, I'm Andrew Arbuthnot, founder of Of Right Mind. My passion is helping people overcome the challenges that prevent them from living the life they want to live. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, fears and phobias, or looking to build confidence and improve your personal or professional performance, my goal is to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence and control.
I believe positive change is possible for everyone. Sometimes, however, we become stuck in patterns of thinking, feeling or behaving that make it difficult to achieve the results we want or enjoy life to its fullest. My role is to provide a supportive, professional environment where we can explore what is holding you back, identify what you would like to achieve, and create a pathway towards lasting positive change.
My journey
People often ask how I became involved in this work. Interestingly, my journey did not begin in hypnotherapy. For many years I built a successful career in sales, business development and leadership, working with individuals, teams and organisations in highly competitive environments.
During that time, I became fascinated by what separates those who consistently achieve their goals from those who struggle to fulfil their potential. What I discovered was that success is rarely determined by knowledge or ability alone. Time and time again, I saw capable, talented people held back by self-doubt, fear of failure, anxiety, limiting beliefs or a lack of confidence. Equally, I watched individuals achieve extraordinary results once they developed the right mindset and belief in themselves.
That sparked a lifelong interest in personal development and human behaviour, which led me to study Neuro-Linguistic Programming, hypnosis and coaching: powerful approaches that help people understand themselves more deeply, overcome obstacles and unlock their potential.
Today I have the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. Some come seeking support with anxiety, stress, fears or confidence. Others want to improve their performance, develop a stronger mindset or achieve personal and professional goals. What I enjoy most is witnessing the moment someone realises they are capable of more than they previously believed possible.
Trained by the world's leading practitioners
I understand how exhausting it is to fight something you can't quite name. That's why I don't just offer tools: I help you find the source.
My approach is direct and solution-focused. No endless talking. No vague exercises. I help you identify the subconscious pattern, interrupt it, and replace it, often within a single structured programme.

What lasting change looks like
After my first session with Andrew this morning I felt amazing. After suffering from anxiety and stressful situations in my life, I have never felt so refreshed and less anxious. What a relaxing experience with a very talented, down-to-earth man.
I tried and tried to stop smoking and just couldn't seem to do it alone. I never made it past the first day. After a 30-minute chat with Andy I had the confidence to quit straight after the call and I have never looked back. I know I won't smoke again and don't even have cravings to do so.
I can highly recommend Andrew and his services. Every one of my sessions has been truly transformational and brought long-lasting effects. Andrew helped me deal with traumatic experiences from my childhood, overcome specific fears, and change patterns of behaviour that no longer served me.
Anxiety does not fade on its own. It does not get bored and leave. Every week it runs the same loop, just a little deeper, a little more familiar.
Most people wait years before asking for help. The only thing that changes in that time is how normal it starts to feel.
You don't have to wait.
